In one of three lightning talks, Arshiya will introduce GPT-3 (Generative Pre-trained Transformer). It was the highlight of 2020 NLP research domain. It is a machine translation model capable of aggressively resolving NLP pain point, i.e., context. The model has been successful in recognizing facts, remembering trivia questions, applying reasoning and logic and most surprisingly, reverse engineer code.

CISC re-branding - The Center for Intelligent CyberSecurity

posted Sep 12, 2020, 3:49 AM by Chase Cotton   [ updated Sep 12, 2020, 3:49 AM ]

With this posting, we have re-branded the CICS to better reflect our current and future research, education, and industrial outreach directions and goals.

Going forward, CICS will be known as the Center for Intelligent CyberSecurity (CISC).  Ths name change is being made to better characterize our focus at the intersection of Cybersecurity and the increasingly important effect of Machine Learning on the practice of Cybersecurity.

Welcome to our newish Center!

Welcome to CICS version 2.0!

Welcome to an evolving Version 2.0 of the site for CICS.

A great deal has happened in the decade since the center was created.  The work in the center has largely become focused on a dual mission, initially in the area of Cybersecurity Education, and later in the area of Cybersecurity Research.

The revised site will highlight and document the accomplishments and progress we have made.

Also, stay tuned for a "soft reboot" re-labeling the center to better reflect our primary Cybersecurity mission.
